Baby Bump - Ergun + Pembe

I don’t shoot maternity very much but when I do it is such a special moment for me to capture for clients.  This particular one could possibly be one of my favorites ever.  Not only because of the photos, but because of how the shoot came about.  Ergun + Pembe called me just days before the arrival of their little one.  The busy schedule of running a family salon business, kept them from finding the time to schedule a maternity session.  Ergun, my long time client, knew it was something Pembe had regretted not planning.  She had mentioned it over dinner earlier in the week and said she really wanted it to be a couple maternity shoot, but never scheduled it because she knew that Ergun, being one of the busiest hairstylist in the area, would almost make it impossible to coordinate his schedule for a shoot.  All day at work, the thought of Pembe being unhappy had been bugging him.  After the long day at the salon, he decided to reach out to me on the way home to ask if by chance I shot maternity and if there was any way we could do it in the next 24 hours.   He said that if I could squeeze them in at anytime tomorrow, that he would re-arrange his salon schedule to accommodate me.  I said absolutely, let’s do it!  Knowing we had no time to spare with the due date fast approaching,  I was able to contact all my clients scheduled for the next day to explain the situation and timing and was fortunate enough to have them all understand and agree to push back their session by a few hours.  We were able to get in the session first thing the next morning and went to the same location that I had photographed their engagement photos just a few years before.  We also made it just before the stormy weather came in as well.  When it was all said and done, we were able to make it all happen, despite the busy schedules.   Ergun made Pembe very happy and I was able to capture moments in time that will last forever for this family.
